Marcelo Viera <\/span><\/b>wrote his last chapter as a Real Madrid player by winning the club\u2019s 14th UEFA Champions League<\/b><\/a>. The Brazilian has left what has been his home for more than 15 years, with a total of 25 titles to his name – becoming the player with the most trophies won at Madrid.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Although his role in the squad in recent seasons has not been the same as in the past, his absence will be felt considerably, as few players in the current squad, and especially his ‘theoretical’<\/i> replacement, Ferland Mendy<\/b>, lack the same magic with the feet that the attacking full back possesses.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The constellation he generated with Cristiano Ronaldo was scintillating. The great rapport between the two on the pitch managed to multiply the individual performances of both, and in turn, of the team.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Brazilian has always understood the importance of respecting the zone of action of the closest players around him, directing his movements towards other areas of the field, thus generating advantageous situations for his teammates and even for himself.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
