Sporting Cristal and MBP: The creation of the “Metodo Celeste”

Sporting Cristal and MBP School of Coaches will work on the “Metodo Celeste”

Two renowned sports institutions join forces in the pursuit of youth football development in Peru.

Club Sporting Cristal has a commitment to the development of Youth Football, both in the male and female categories. That is why, together with MBP School of Coaches from Barcelona, they will collaborate in training coaches to develop better football players.

Together, we will implement the IPPM®️ System, which encompasses the 4 stages of the project: Identity, Planning, Programming, and Methodology. This will enhance the training model based on the unique characteristics of the club’s identity, which we will call the “Metodo Celeste”.

It is a unique service in the world that allows clubs to develop their own methodology and represent it in digital manuals and technological platforms, ensuring that the method endures over time and undergoes constant evaluation.

Thomas Vandenbussche, Business Manager of MBP, stated that they are proud to work with one of the best clubs in Peru. “From the first contact, we realized that Sporting Cristal is an innovative club. The institution and its collaborators are very aware of the right path in the medium and long term. Hence the importance of youth football. We will work together to try to achieve the maximum potential.”

Juan Carlos de Madalengoitia, Director of Youth Football at Club Sporting Cristal, commented: “We are very pleased to have MBP as a strategic partner for the 2023-2025 training project. This project seeks to leverage the well-established ‘celeste’ roots from previous administrations to meet the requirements of modern football. MBP has extensive experience working worldwide with coaches and players in various contexts. Their expertise will be a great complement to our new Technical Development Team, our new sports intelligence department, and the areas of human development.”
