What tools do we use for video analysis?

In modern day football, the use of video-analysis is totally integrated in the day to day inside every technical staff whether that be at the profesional level or at the amateur level. The end result of this tool is to help with your own team analysis as well as to analyze the rivals, while also using this for players from an individual point of view whether that be from a performance point of view or for scouting purposes.

For that clubs use different softwares that permit the realization of those analysis. The requirements in the research of these video analysis platforms are very big and have lots of variety where also the market offers different variety from tools to price range. Let’s highlight the 3 functionalities that are needed and in which for us we feel are essential:

1. One of the most demanded requirements in this tool is the capacity to draw images inside the selected video from a static or dynamic POV. Allowing to even mark out players, arrows that permit to show their passes and also players dribbling, also marking out specific zones inside the playing area and an infinite amount of options.

2. Another useful characteristic is to be able to create and use the panel properly using different tags that permits to mark out specifically what occurs in the selected scene of the video. Using tags permits us to cut and order the made clips with what we have observed. As an example, distinguish the phases and moments of determined play, or if you are analyzing a player, mark the fundamental that the player is doing and if he is doing it correctly or not. This will help us filter the total amount of clips made and be able to select a quickly the videos we want to add to a playlist, to then export them.

3. The third and last point that we would like to highlight is the possibility to have an environment inside the tool, so that you can create profiles for other users of the technical staff, even for the players, where you can directly share them those clips and discuss them with comments etc.
